Modules in the Club
About our modules, our modules are all made in house they are not kits but made from scratch. Many of our members have built one or more modules they don't all replicate a specific place, many are just what the creator wanted to do. All the modules are built to a standard, they are four feet long by two feet wide, the track is set back from the front at five and seven inches. On the sides of the module the track is set back four and a half inches to accept a nine inch joiner track when connected to another module. The modules are then clamped together and the bus wire is connected. The bus wire is a wire that is attached to the track on each module ensuring a good electrical connection for the trains. We rely more on the track bus than the rail joiners as they are not a reliable power source. Below is a variety of pictures of modules that the club and club members have and or are working on building. Our layout is controlled with a MRC Prodigy Elite system, we have also enabled Withrottle to be used on our layout allowing members to control there train with their desired wireless device.
